Travel time to California was the name of the game last week to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with Honey Man’s family. A good time was had by young and old alike at the beach
The beach at Carlsbad to be exact. A darling beach community.
On Friday Queenie and Honey Man traveled inland for a wee adventure. First up Queenie, bedecked in power shopping pink got her fabric fix at Quilt In A Day. I’m a long time fan of quilter extraordinaire, Eleanor Burns and was tickled pink to visit one of her shops.
Next up we headed to Buffalo Brothers where Honey Man window shopped till he dropped playing all sorts of mandolins and guitars he’s been eyeing for a while.
Growing up in beautiful Ohio winter holidays were spent with family and friends, bundled up in warm winter clothes and for the most part indoors. The change to a cooler season ushering in the holiday seasons.
This was Queenie’s first holiday spent staying at a beach. I must say shorts and flip flops are also a lovely way to usher in the holiday season!!!
Until next time…
Have a great day!

I used to live in Carlsbad. Now I live in northern California.
It's always great to wear flip flops around the holidays. Sounds like a great trip for all. I am your newest follower. Happy holidays
Thank you Queenie! I've been a CA.girl My whole life.I'm always happy when it feels like winter here during the season.Denise
How fun you were able to come to our warm California sunshine for Thanksgiving...although, here in Central California it was only 65 degrees that day, but pleasant enough. And I adore Carlsbad, such a very special city.
Cheers!

Calfornia! What a wonderful Thanksgiving it looks like you had ;) Here there was snow!
Wow, to spend time in a sunny summery place like that now- it must be wonderful. It´s snow everywhere here- a white fairy tale world. Still it seems so wonderful to be in a place like California

We live in Carlsbad, and it is truly a magical place!
Shorts and flip flops...is there any other way to usher in the holiday season? ;) This coming from a Florida girl, of course.
Happy New Year!!
