Bohemian Ballerina and Quilty Sketches Realized

This just in, hot off the Innova…
The Bohemian Ballerina
Chalk full of swirling…
And twirling star-like shapes…
Brimming with floating, quilted peacock feathers.
Queenie’s brewing up a new kind of binding for the edges sure to please like a matted and framed print.
More outdoor snaps to come upon completion!
Remember the quilty sketches of the last post?
Now up on the Innova are some executed sketches…
Evolving and coming to life.
I’m quickly learning Queenie’s current quilty style definitely leans toward flowing and organic shapes.

Until next time…
Have a great day!

Brainstorming Quilty Sketches

A whole bunch of quilty sketching going on around here!
I’ve been spending lunches at the mundane with pen and quilting notebook in hand.
Experimenting with different quilting sketches…
For an upcoming quilt to go on the Innova.
The possibilities abound with loads of boarder sketching…
And, a fun heart for yet another quilt in the queue for quilting goodness.
Currently, a colorful, eclectic quilt is on the Innova where peacock feathers abound.
Queenie’s looking at a marathon quilting weekend.
What fun things do you have planned?

Until next time...
Have a great day!

Christmas in July

The Queenie Mother's quilt is all quilted up...
With each little Christmas jewel box framed...
And accentuated...
With echo stitching.
The outer edges bound in anchoring black...
And finished up in fine...
Fine...
Christmas in July form!
Until next time...
Have a great day!

Dog Day of Summer

Minnie Delicious here, reporting from the Monsoon Dog Days of Summer. It is hot, Hot, HOT here in Arizona making all our green grass go brown like my furry brown-ness.
Yesterday, me and Callie got to spend the whole day with our Mama, as she was on holiday from the mundane! We had such a fun day following her around everywhere.  First we helped her water the flowers out front…
That she planted last month…
For our Papa, Honey Man.
Next we posed for pretty pictures on the stairs for as you may recall, Mama’s mad about sending photos of us to Papa on the smart phone… crazy woman!
We also patrolled the front yard…
While she put up the U.S. flag to celebrate the 4th of July.
I’m kinda clue-free about all this independence history day business but me and Callie are sure glad our backyard kingdom is in a place where our Mama gets to have a day off away from the mundane to spend with us!!!

Until next time…
Have a great big furry love day,
Minnie Delicious

RIP Granite Mountain Hotshots

Rest in Peace to the 19 members of the
Granite Mountain Hotshots Fire Crew.
Our thoughts and prayers ascend for the families and loved ones of the brave firefighters who tragically passed through the veil Sunday fighting Arizona wildfire.
Our thoughts and prayers ascend also for the towns of Prescott and Yarnell, Arizona as they continue to battle the wildfire and mourn the devastating loss of heroic life.  http://www.100club.org/web/100Club
