Hunkered Down

Queenie and the Delicious have been hunkered down these past several days helping Honey Man recover from carpal tunnel surgery.

Thankfully, after three days the big monster dressing was scaled down to a slimmer and trimmer sports model which will be in place for ten days.

Honey Man is such a trouper and faring well through the recovery process. Keeping a positive outlook is truly the key.

So in honor of his bravery and courage Queenie has named a park after him…

Or in the least found a picture of a park for my Honey Man.

Quilting Adventure

Several weeks ago Queenie gave you a sneak peek at the design for my next quilting adventure.  A quilt for Queenie and her Honey Man, their story of a marvelous married life.

An exercise in riotous color with fabrics loving given by the Queenie Mother and from the vast Queenie stash.

After the counting and calculating, the cutting began.

And continued…

With assembly and trimming…

Till the first block appeared.

Followed by a second…

And a third…

Queenie’s consuming creative construction pushes forward and the quilt top takes shape with…

The Creator and the created…

And stars within stars cascading from light to dark.

A king sized quilt in the making.

Queenie's next step in the adventure is conjuring up a beautiful border full of music, flowers and crowns.

I don’t know about you but I can hardly wait!!!
