As I was meandering around the show on Saturday, I rounded the bend and spotted a red ribbon on Queenie's wee quilt... To my complete surprise Queenie won second place in the Centennial Fabric Challenge category!!!! Surprise and much effort holding back tears I stood and stared soaking it in... My first quilt show and I win a prize Yeah!!! and Hurray!!!
Alas I did not have my camera with me as promised. These are from my phone. Honey Man needed it for his trip to California. When he returns we will have a photo session and get a better snap of the final product to share.
Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone for your wonderful and encouraging comments that kept me going, and gave me the much needed shots of courage to complete this celebratory project.
