Travel Time – Getty Villa – II

Continuing on with Queenie and Honey Man’s royal visit to the Getty Villa…
The museum is filled with wonderful antiquities and beautiful art exhibitions.  The influence of ancient art and architecture on various art movements throughout history is often the theme of the art exhibitions.
It was warm and sunny the day Queenie and Honey Man visited with much enjoyment of the gardens.

Queenie Believes the East Garden should be named the Feline Garden

As all the fountains are fur baby heads of the cat variety
This particular fountain with the water lilies in bloom is flanked by wonderful Roman theatre masks
Comedy and tragedy are the names commonly used for theses masks… But which is which….

The architectural details and design features of the museum thrust Queenie and Honey Man into other worldly grandeur

Lush plaster work ceiling

Beautifully painted ceilings

Exquisite marble and stone work walls

And floors

Such a wonderful escape from the mundane it was for Queenie and her Honey Man.

More adventures of the Getty Villa to come…

Have a great day!

Always, Queenie Believe

A GREAT day, in a GREAT place, with THEE Greatest girl! I was in heaven!:-)

I was born and raised in SoCal and this is definitely one of my favorite places of all to visit. Aside from the beach, the mountains, and of course, Disneyland!!! ;-)
