Embroidery Bee Quilty Adventures

Sir Owen the Innova and me are hard at work on the Queenie Mother’s Embroidery Bee Quilt.
I selected this lovely fabric for the backing, a soft mottled light green print that Queenie loves.
We started off with flowing…
S-curve feathers…
Undulating through the boarder..
With wee wreaths kissing in the center.
As I’ve been known to do, Queenie created a little story to help the quilty creativity flow…
Imagining the flower embroidery squares,
As collector china plates and the quilt their china cabinet.
Each plate is decorated…
With strings of pearls,
And individual…
Feather motifs,
All their own.
Hopefully, each embroidery square is its own featured treasure.
Admittedly, these carnations are Queenie’s favorite…
So far!
We’re not even have way through the blocks,
I’m sure to have many more favorites in store.

As always, there’s a Delicious close by, ever vigilant in her napping.
Minnie’s napping poses always make Queenie smile.

Until next time,
Have a great day!

This, That, and Throw Back Thursday

This month marks Queenie’s birthday of a handful, or would that be a bushel full of years on this lovely planet.
My love, Honey Man gifted me with these beautiful roses
And Arizona gifted me
With a bumper crop of bougainvillea.
Even my commute from the mundane was bedecked with abundant blooms.
Queenie and Sir Owen the Innova completed the Queenie Mother’s two wall hangings…
Celebrating love and springtime.
Next up on the quilting hit parade is the Queenie Mother’s embroidery flower bee quilt.
Full of a variety of lovely blooms,
Petite nosegays,
And bountiful bouquets.
On the fur-kid front, that Minnie Delicioius never ceases to entertain…
I call this snap, “Sphinx Delicious, Side Orientation” :o)

And now throw back Thursday
The Queenie Mother emailed this little blast from the past.
Early, 1970’s my very first sewing machine.
The beginning of Queenie’s sewing career!

Until next time,
Have a great day!

Kingdom Doings

You Hellou!  Minnie Delicious here!
Our beloved Queenie is battling allergy illness and simply not of a mind to post to the blog-o-sphere.  Sooooo, I’m picking up the slack and reporting to you from the backyard kingdom
Rest assured her Queenieness is on the mend after investing in Kleenex stock - liberally watered with Canada Dry ginger ale.

In other news…
The Christmas cactus is putting forth beautiful pale pink blossoms just in time for Christmas.
This will be the 2nd year in a row it’s made such a grand appearance.

In the studios our paw paw, Honey Man is trying his hand at quilting with Sir Owen the Innova.
And, Queenie is squirreled away creating loveliness for the next quilt to dance with Sir Owen.
As one of the two pampered pooches in Queenie’s Kingdom, life is pretty much perfect but given the chance…
This would be on our dog dog wish list! BOL!!!

Until next time…
Merry Christmas!!
Big furry love and lots of doggy kisses!!!

Thankful Delicious

You! Hellou!!  Callie Delicious here.
Last week here in the USA humans celebrated Thanksgiving.
Here’s a few reasons why I’m a privileged pup full of love and thankfulness...
First up, my sister Minnie Delicious a constant companion.
Through thick,
And thin.
She’s so full of personality awake…
or asleep, she's always making be smile.
Next up, Honey Man who rescued us from a life on the streets,
And loves us no matter what our selfies are up to.
Of course, I can’t forget Queenie who has always believed in me to be the best dog ever,
And lets us be Velcro dogs,
Even in her studios.
Last but not least,
I’m thankful for our backyard kingdom
Where the Bougainvillea bloom bright and Delicious delight.

Until next time…
Big furry love and lots of doggy kisses,
Callie Delicious
